Bleu Tavern, III

Update 2/23: Don’t be surprised if you see a press release from the Bleu folks today or tomorrow clarifying the move (and hopefully shedding light on what is to come of Boone Tavern). One possibility is that they open as BT before beginning the transition to Bleu.

I’ll be on KFRU this morning to discuss the Bleu/Boone Tavern issue. Listen in at about 10:15 am or click here to listen online.

  1. The worst thing is, this will leave downtown without one of its best restaurants (possibly two restaurants total) just as True/False hits town. It was already hard to find a table during the festival — now it’s going to be impossible. I can’t imagine out-of-towners are going to be terribly impressed…

  2. Boone Tavern was open during the festival. A large group of T/F production people hit it Monday night after our big day of breaking down all the venues. We were told they would close the next day for three days, then reopen with the new name. Since we were the only people eating there, we realized we were the last people to dine at Boone Tavern, ever. I had the French Dip. Not bad!
