Weekly Wrap

Hey, Mizzou won the game 17-7. If you set aside the first quarter, anyway.

Must-read of the week goes to my best bud Tom Anderson, who’s Washington City Paper cover story is on how a beloved D.C. bookstore is making a go of it in a digital world. Really good stuff.

In other news this week: Evan Benn wrote about an urban farmer who keeps St. Louis chefs in good produce. The Secretary of Agriculture in Iowa is an elected position; this year it’s also interesting. Turns out, we could use a good, “lardcore” restaurant in Columbia. Six months after that BP well started spewing oil into the Gulf, the region’s food producers are  struggling to bounce back. The “Rally to Restore Sanity” would have been a good time. Remember to vote Tuesday.
