Eateries await news on Gulf seafood

The Tribune’s T.J. Greaney takes the temperature of local seafood joints, and Jeff England of Jazz puts the oil spill’s impact in perspective:

“So far, we’ve seen nothing,” he said. “Still, it’s pretty devastating for the shrimpers down there; they get over the hurricane and now this.”

And that, England said, is his overriding thought as he watches the news coverage. He’s thinking about the wildlife and the fishermen more than his own pocketbook.

“For me, it doesn’t really matter where it is, it’s just a nauseating experience,” he said.
