The Nifong outpost of Columbia’s favorite so-so Tex-Mex chain, El Maguey, caught fire Thursday morning and suffered significant damage, especially from smoke. A guy I know who manages one of the other locations (to tastier effect, I must add) says it will be two months before they reopen, but thankfully they had insurance. At the same time, our entire conversation occurred primarily in Spanish, so I could have everything wrong.
