Opening Day

It’s not a should-be national holiday like baseball’s, but opening day at the farmers market is about as good a harbinger of spring as you can find. Saturday’s was a record, both in terms of customers and vendors. New vendors included mushrooms and pecan growers, as well as Alan McClure of Patric Chocolate. And despite the fact that spinach was about the only green available, more is on the way. Spring, welcome.
