What, is this Actual News Day or something?

Impending local foods destination Cherry Hill Market and Cafe has a manager: Ginny Chadwick. Ginny will be familiar to anyone even marginally interested in supporting local food and business. She has been the face of the COLORS alliance of locally-owned businesses and retail services. She’s also a regular at the farmers market, often to be found beneath the Uprise Bakery tent. Cherry Hill Market and Cafe has a scheduled May 1 opening date.

In other local food news: if I were you, I wouldn’t expect to be imbibing at Broadway Brewery before mid-summer at the earliest. Snail’s pace there, I’m afraid. But when it does open, it’s going to be something else.

  1. I talked with Walker earlier this week about the big opening, and although he was still optimistic about an April opening, it still sounded as if he had a lot of hurdles to get past before everything would be up and running. I would also bet for a late spring/early opening, but who knows. Looking forward to it, either way!
