Weekend eats

We did not eat a pizzarito over the weekend. Did have a nice lunch with the four year-old at Cafe Berlin, where he proceeded to consume a giant plate of Anonymous Tacos. I cooked up my first Newman Farm pork chops Saturday night and they were indeed a breed apart, even if an uneven far resulted in slightly varying degrees of doneness. Well worth the extra $1.32 per pound.

Sunday night brought braised lamb, cabbage with apples and leftover risotto. I hope you ate well too and had a good book to read by the fireplace last night. I’m currently enmeshed in “The Agony and the Ecstasy,” part of my New Year’s resolution to read more classic fiction.
