On Ranch dressing

So my four year-old’s preschool is having a Thanksgiving party. I was assigned “vegetables/dip” and so I called the school to ask what this meant. Am I supposed to bring in something with vegetables involved or does it have to be carrots and dip? “Oh, just some sliced carrots and Ranch dip” came the inevitable answer. Now I’ve had my fair share of Ranch dressing, don’t get me wrong. But isn’t the stuff at least partially responsible for why kids hate veggies in the first place? Hell with that. I’ll make my own.
